JBS Provides Added-Value Services to Companies with an Outsourced, On-Site Technical Writer

If all you need is a Technical Writer for a limited project, then you realize that your best bet is to work with a freelance agency like JBS. But if your company has the budget to employ a full-time writer, then why work with JBS? Why not go with a direct, in-house hire? The answer may come from your CFO or senior management who prefer not taking on the obligations of employing staff and increasing the headcount.
But is that enough?

We get to know your technology and your people, so that even if we provide a full-time, on-site technical writer, we still build a relationship with you and your organization. To do this JBS provides Added-Value Services.
When contracting with JBS to provide a full-time, on-site Technical Writer an agreement is reached for JBS to provide a number of hours of Added-Value Services per month or year.
These services are provided by a JBS Senior Project Manager or other professional as required.
The Added-Value Services may be in any of the areas listed below.
Project Management
This is a comprehensive process which includes Needs Assessment, Implementation Plan and Tracking. The Senior JBS Project Manager creates and maintains your documentation plan. The Project Plans are for use by the Technical Writer and her Supervisor and can also be published within your organization.
Workflow Consultations
We consult you on establishing or improving your organization’s documentation workflow, QA process, etc.
Tools Consultations
Analysis and recommendations for the most appropriate tools for Document Management (Version Control), authoring and single-sourcing methodologies, etc.
QA/Document Review
The JBS Project Manager reviews key documents to ensure quality levels and that the documents meet the requirements as defined in the Project Plan.
Replacement Technical Writer
If you require a replacement technical writer for any reason, JBS will provide one. The Senior Project Manager will be available during the interim period to ensure continuity of service and minimal damage from the personnel switch (this may involve contracting of additional hours).
Supplementary Staff
When your company has a surge in documentation activity, JBS can provide supplementary staff. During this period the Senior Project Manager accompanies the work and ensures that the additional writers are brought up to speed on your company’s technology and work processes to ensure maximum productivity.
